We give overgrown and neglected landscapes a complete face lift with a One-Time Spruce Up. This is an overall clean-up type of service that brings a yard back into shape. Choose any or all of the following tasks:
The largest portion of this type of work is usually plant debris removal. We'll cut down and remove any undesirable trees and shrubs, and we'll either dig out or grind down their stumps. All of the desirable plants that are to remain will have dead growth removed and will be thinned, pruned, and manicured as needed. Certain plants, such as long neglected roses, may be given "renovation"style pruning that involves aggressively pruning back the plant to encourage fresh new growth. We will pull, cut back, and treat all of the weeds around the landscape. We rake out any deposits of old leaf litter that build up behind planting beds and up against the house or the fence. We pay close attention to the base of each tree and shrub to clean out around it and prune off suckers, giving the stem or trunk a nice appearance where it meets the ground. We often install several new plants as part of this type of cleanup, including colorful annuals to make a great short-term visual impact. We'll cut the grass and blow out all the little bits of leaf and trimmings, to leave the landscape looking clean and fresh.
We will also take a look at all of the systems that keep your landscape functioning. We will troubleshoot and repair faulty irrigation and outdoor lighting systems, and reset their control timers if necessary. Where accessible, we will clean out any drain systems and catch-basins that are clogged with debris. We fertilize all the landscape plants, and treat for insects and diseases to keep the garden healthy. We'll bring in fresh mulch to re-cover bare or thin areas.
With the garden taken care of, we can turn our attention to the house and hardscaping. We'll blow off cobwebs and dusts all around the house, especially in the eaves and around the doors and windows. We blow, wash, or pressure-wash your hardscape surfaces as needed. We will pick up and remove any trash around the property, and straighten up or organize anything out in the yard, such as patio furniture or unused pots. You'll be all set to enjoy your yard!
